JUBILEE LAKES

Danny lands best fish of the week

FISHING at at
Jubilee Lakes
was excellent this week with the exception of Saturday when most anglers struggled and only one or two did well in the sparkly bright conditions and flat calm following an overnight frost.

Danny Wood from Scarborough had best trout of the week with a 10lb 7oz rainbow caught on a Hot Head Olive Damsel - probably the second best catching pattern this week.

Best pattern this week without a doubt has been the Olive Bloodworm - fished deep and slow on the bottom lake but high and quite fast on the top lake.

Although the lakes are only a few yards apart, the top lake is warmer in winter but cooler in summer and this can make a real difference to the way a pattern needs to be fished.

The fishery's 9am to 1pm morning ticket is proving too early a start for some some anglers so the four-hour ticket will now be available from as late as 10am to 2pm.
